We had a brilliant day on Saturday for our Junior Duathlon which we held at York Sports Village!

104 children took part from across Yorkshire and 26 of those were from Wakefield Junior Tri Club!

Georgina, Sophi, Isobella, Callum, Finley, Oliver S, Jack, Enzo, Mazwell, Aria, Isla, Sebastian, Oliver W, Jenson, Hugo, Zosia, Jessie, Imogen, Ceclie, Sam, Maxi, Izzy, Charlotte, Matt, Ed and Matti all ran and then cycled and then ran again to complete the gruelling duathlon.

The weather held off and the morning showers gave way to warmer weather when races started at 1pm. All the athletes were brilliant and should be very proud of themselves and Georgina and Callum took podium positions in the T1 category and Izzy, Matt and Ed in the Youth category.

Well done to everyone and thanks to the volunteers from across Wakefield Junior Tri Club and Wakefield Tri Club without whom the event could not have gone ahead. Please look out for our Triathlon on 28th June and enter now!
