FAQs (frequently asked questions)

Do you do Open Water Swimming?

We currently don’t offer open water swimming coached sessions due to lack of facilities in the local area, we however update this if the situation changes.

Training sessions fees are up to £5 payable before each session starts, via Book a Session

Our swimming sessions offer structured training to improve technique and fitness. They are not suitable for children who are learning to swim for the first time. We ask that all children attending are able to swim at least 100 continuous metres of a recognised stroke, preferably front crawl.

If you are joining our training sessions for the first time you are welcome to attend three sessions before you decide if you would like to take up membership or not to enquire about this please email:

wjtcmembership@gmail.com

All junior members representing Wakefield Junior Triathlon Club are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct when training and racing. There is also a separate code for parents and carers of junior members, again we expect this code to be followed at training sessions and races. Copies of both can be found in the footer under policies.

If you ever have any concerns or would like to speak to someone confidentially, please reach out to our Welfare Officer at wjtcwelfareofficer@gmail.com, who is here to support you with complete discretion
