Wakefield Junior Triathlon Club was proudly represented at the Richmond Aquathlon event, with athletes competing across the Tristar 1, Tristar 2, Tristar 3 and Youth categories. As always, our athletes demonstrated tremendous determination, resilience and sportsmanship, producing some fantastic performances throughout the day.

Tristar 1
Our Tristar 1 athletes delivered an outstanding set of results, with several competitors securing top-ten finishes in what was a highly competitive field.

A huge congratulations to Callum Beardsmore and Oliver Smith, who incredibly had exactly the same time and led the club home with an excellent joint 8th place finish, ensuring WJTC had 2 athletes inside the top 10.

Georgia Moorhouse continued the strong club showing with a solid 22nd place, while Sophi Dyson and Jack Spurr battled hard throughout their races to finish 30th and 31st respectively. All five athletes should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive attitude they showed throughout the event.

Tristar 2
The Tristar 2 athletes also produced a series of strong performances, demonstrating the hard work they have been putting in during training.

Jensen Furness led the way for the club with a superb 30th place finish, followed by Oliver Whiteley in 33rd. Isla Beardsmore and Isla Jessop both raced brilliantly, finishing 37th and 40th respectively. The determination shown by all four athletes was fantastic to see, and they represented the club with great enthusiasm and professionalism.

Tristar 3
A special mention goes to Maxi Burton, who delivered an impressive performance to finish 18th in the Tristar 3 race. Competing in a strong field, Maxi showed great consistency across all three disciplines and secured an excellent top-20 result.

Youth
The Youth category saw some particularly impressive performances from Wakefield athletes.

Matt Homan produced a superb race to secure an outstanding 7th place finish, earning a well-deserved top-ten result. He was followed by Matti Dyson in 14th place, another excellent performance that demonstrated both strength and determination throughout the race.

Completing the Youth team was Isabelle Moorhouse, who crossed the line in 15th place, rounding off a fantastic day for the club with three athletes finishing inside the top 15.

Looking Ahead….
Across all age groups, our athletes showcased not only their racing ability but also the values that make Wakefield Junior Triathlon Club such a special club to be part of. From the youngest Tristar athletes to our Youth competitors, everyone raced with determination, courage and sportsmanship.

THANK YOU!
A huge thank you goes to all of the parents, coaches and volunteers whose continued support makes these opportunities possible. Most importantly, congratulations to all of our athletes. Every finish line crossed represents the reward for countless hours of training, and everyone at Wakefield Junior Triathlon Club should be incredibly proud of what was achieved. We look forward to seeing what successes the WJTC Triathlon brings!
